KATHY'S STORY

About Kathy Mack

I first developed an interest in making pottery while on vacation in West Virginia.  I met a woman who sold pottery in the park lodge where she also waited on tables in the café.  She told me that she lived out in the country and many people communicated by CB radio.  Her call name was “Muddy Boots”  because she dug her pottery clay from the nearby creek. I enjoyed meeting her so much and was inspired to try my hand at this art form.

I began my clay adventure in a community recreation center in my twenties.  Sadly life became busier and busier, so it wasn’t until my retirement appeared on the horizon that I started clay classes again. Now I present to you my ever-evolving work on this website. I hope you enjoy what you see. Perhaps you might even want to have a piece for your own!
